About the release
In the summer of 2019, Amsterdam based brass band Gallowstreet and rebellious orchestra Pynarello teamed up for a live show at the Royal Concert Hall in Amsterdam. The brass brawn of Gallowstreet and the lush strings of Pynarello turned out to be a match made in heaven. The four tracks on this E.P. are live recordings of that memorable night.

The pieces on this E.P. were rearranged specifically for the live show and pack a true punch, both in musical intensity and emotional depth.

Gallowstreet
A decade of innovating brass music. Gallowstreet has been up and at it. This squad of dedicated musicians from Amsterdam has been proving its worth at festivals and clubs both in the Netherlands and abroad. Hailing from the Galgenstraat, hence the name Gallowstreet, the band employs a wide range of musical genres to tell stories with their compositions, most of them beat driven, all of them with anthemic quality.

Pynarello
Pynarello is a musicians’ collective based in Utrecht with a highly distinctive style. They experiment with traditions, conventions, form and content, to reinvent the music they love so much. Born as a string orchestra, the ensemble takes on many different forms, and consists of musicians with widely varied backgrounds.
Pynarello likes to think of themselves as “a collective of rebels”. The young orchestra plays standing up, without sheet music and without a conductor. Even their setup is flexible, allowing soloists to truly step into the spotlight. All this gives Pynarello a unique appearance and a proprietary way communicating with their audiences.
